Youtube is a video hosting website with millions of active users worldwide. A user can upload any video they want to, except "graphic" videos and videos that break copyright laws.
When uploading a video make sure you own the rights to the clips or the music in your video, if not the video can at any time be taken down by those who own the rights to the material.
Youtube is home to millions of videos containing anything from music, reviews, sports events, TV shows and almost anything you can think of.
On the screenshot to the left the title of the video is "welcome to youtube",
the blue name below it is the user who uploaded the video, to the right of that is how many videos the user has uploaded and a subscribe button.
Under that is the main video viewer, you have control over start/pause, the volume of the audio, if you want to use closed captions (subtitles, under development), the video quality and full screen mode.
Below the video viewer there is a like and dislike button, that you can use if you have a account. next to it is options to add the video to a playlist, and share it. the little flag is a button you can use to report videos.
all the way to the right is a view counter and below it a like and dislike ratio bar.
Below that is a description box, where the uploader can share info about his or hers video,
And below the description box there is a comment field, where users can comment on the video.
You can subscribe to users if you like their content by hitting the subscribe button, or use all of the other features, but first you need to make a Youtube account.
(You can still view any video without an account, but you cannot interact with other users.)
Making a Youtube account is very easy and you need nothing more than a g-mail account to do it. when you have created your account you can start uploading videos and subscribing to users, and using all of the other features of Youtube.
Limitations or flaws:
Youtube sometimes have problems with some video formats.

If you have uploaded any videos to Youtube they will give you stats of who watched your video and where they came from.
This tool can be useful to see where your audience is from, showed on the bottom right in the image.
you can also see at what date they watched your video.
You can choose to view last day, week, month, year or for as long your video have been up for.
